Paleo Greek Chicken Souvlaki

Greece is known for its souvlaki, which means “meat on skewers”. This Paleo Greek chicken souvlaki is a delicious Mediterranean dish that is a go to meal in my house. To make this chicken souvlaki, I take pieces of chicken and marinate them with fresh herbs, garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Skewer the chicken and grill until slightly charred and cooked through.

How I like to serve my souvlaki

In Greece this traditionally would be served with warm pita and topped with a cool Tzatziki sauce. In order to keep this recipe paleo, skip the pita and add extra Tzatziki sauce. I serve these paleo Greek Chicken Souvlaki skewers with my Greek Lettuce Salad, along with sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, onions, and Kalamata olives.
