Paleo BBQ Rub

This Paleo BBQ rub is my go to when I make BBQ ribs. It is a little sweet and smoky. Not to mention this is perfect to use when grilling any type of meat. This rub is made entirely from natural, unprocessed ingredients. Avoiding any refined sugar, artificial additives, and grains.

How can I use this paleo bbq rub.

I coat my BBQ chicken with this rub before I slather on bbq sauce. Cooking pork chops? Rub this on and grill them for a quick summer meal. Coat a pork tenderloin with this rub a sear in a skillet and finish cooking in the oven. I love to make a large pork roast and make shredded pork. This paleo bbq rub is great to use all over the pork before I slow cook it. Really this rub can be used on any meat.

Ingredients

  • Coconut sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Oregano
  • Thyme

Directions

  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. This will make enough for 1 rack of ribs. I like to make a double batch to have on hand to use on chicken, pork chops, or a pork tenderloin.

I have found that so many premade seasonings are full of refined sugar and additives that I just do not want to have. Making my own seasonings has made it easier and I know what is going in to each of them. Along with this rub, make sure you check out my Paleo Taco Seasoning, it is another must have in your spice cabinet.

The flavor of the rub is so good and it has become a seasoning that I grab often. I like to double this recipe and have more on hand to throw on some meat or shrimp and toss on the grill for a quick meal.
