What is my secret ingredient?

Cacao powder, which is a superfood. It is full of antioxidants and nutrients, which help with cardiovascular health and improve brain function. Studies show that Cacao powder helps your immune system, reduces stress, and balances your energy. No more feeling guilty about enjoying your Cafe Mocha when you can make this Paleo Cafe Mocha recipe.

The problem with ordering one of these at your favorite coffee shop is that they are loaded with sugar and unnatural ingredients. They typically contain an added 25-40 grams of sugar. In one cup! They are high in calories, between the milk, chocolate, and whipped cream. Easily exceeding 300-400 calories. The saturated fat from the whole milk and whipped cream can often raise cholesterol if consumed often. And lastly, the caffeine and sugar combo. Mixing the two of those can cause energy spikes and crashes. Those tend to make you feel jittery on moment and tired the next.

Having the “occasional” cafe’ mocha is not harmful and is best if it is enjoyed more as a treat rather than every day. With my cafe’ mocha recipe, you can enjoy a cup as much as you want.
